Adult Acting Lab

The Acting lab is a perfect opportunity for you to brush up your audition skills, deepen your understanding of acting, or work on a speciality skill. This four week class changes focus every month, and features a rotating roster of teachers who are also practitioners in the theater community. Some of our past courses have included Improvisation, Shakespeare, Acting for Film, Speech and Dialects, Clown, Acting Basics, and Auditioning. JANUARY - Creating Charaters with Dylan Wright

Discover the art of creating compelling and transformative characters with techniques inspired by Michael Chekhov and Yat Malmgren. In this class, you'll use simple movements and emotions to bring your characters to life. Whether you're a beginner or looking to deepen your craft, this approach will unlock your creative potential and help you deliver authentic, memorable performances.

Adult Dance for Musical Theater

In this class, we will focus on learning technique, body awareness and dance styles that are common when performing in musical theater (Broadway, Disney, Cruise ships, etc…). Students will gain confidence in their dance ability, their comfortability when doing a dance audition, as well as learn or review terms helpful for picking up dances quickly. Dance is an integral part of musical theater, and every student deserves to feel confident in their ability as a performer, and this class will help prepare them to land dance roles in local productions, as well as continue their training for a professional career.

Adult Vocal Ensemble

Learn to sing your favorite songs from Musical Theater! In this group class you will learn the fundamentals of singing including: vocal parts, harmonies, reading music, matching tempo, expression and emotion. If you’ve ever wanted the chance to sing your favorite songs with a choir, this is your opportunity to dive deep and focus on building your vocal instrument!

Adult Stage Combat

Throwing punches, thrilling falls, amazing sword play, we’ve got it all! From musical theater, drama, and comedy to Shakespeare, all performers will eventually need to know some stage combat. In this course we will explore unarmed and armed stage combat in the service of telling thrilling stories. As you learn stage combat, you will also learn to incorporate scene work. This combination of physical and emotional expression will create a new depth in your performance work.
