We are so excited to have you join us as part of your Homeschool Education program. We offer courses in Theater and Musical Theater. Please see below for details!

Working as an ensemble, you will learn the basics of theater performance. We will cover all areas of theater performance including: theater history, acting, movement, vocal technique, auditioning, Shakespeare, and text analysis. Students will take part in creating two end-of-semester performances on the Main Stage that will showcase everything they’ve learned.

When: 

• Session 1 (Ages 8-18): Thursdays 10am-11:30am; Aug 22nd-Dec 12th – Jan 9th-May 15th

Where: Hale Studios (537 North 1200 West in Orem)  Aug-Dec | The Ruth (401 S Pleasant Grove Blvd. ) Jan-May

Cost: $80/month; Production fee: $100

In an encouraging and engaging group environment, students will become more skilled and confident as they learn the fundamentals of musical theater. Our students will develop a broad range of Musical Theatre skills including acting, singing, dancing, character development, theater history, and much more in this semester-long class. Students will have a chance to connect, socialize and create with others as they explore and learn about different genres and styles of Musical Theatre. Students will take part in writing and building a Broadway Revue that will showcase everything they learn in a final performance on the HCTO Main Stage.

  • Session 2 (Ages 8-12): Wednesdays 12pm-1:30pm; Aug 21-Dec 11th – Jan 8th-May 14th
